Robert has dedicated his life to horses, growing up on a farm in Warwick surrounded by a lot of horses from a very early age. He competed in most disciplines including Polo Cross, Campdrafting, Dressage and Eventing before settling on Show Jumping. Robert competed successfully from a young age and started winning open Grand Prix classes at 13.
At 18, Robert won the Bega World Cup. Becoming the youngest rider at the time to ever win a World Cup Showjumping Competition in Australia, then going on to win a further two World Cup competitions and two 1.50m State Titles as well as two Qld Country Titles.
Although still to date, one of Roberts proudest achievements has been making it onto the short list for the Athens Olympics with his horses Warrego Gidgea Coals after a 3 month trip to Wellington, Florida culminating in gaining a COC in the Nations Cup for Australia.
Robert has not only competed on National Tours he has also competed at many International events all over the world - competing in New Zealand 5 times, Korea twice, Florida and many trips to Europe.
In 2015 Robert enjoyed a trip to Singapore, coaching a student of his representing the Philippines at the South East Asian Games in Singapore.
Robert coaches most weekends at many show jumping clinics all over Australia, and also offers coaching from his property, conveniently located at Woodford which is approximately 45 minutes from the north side of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
